Maddyness Features Intel® Ignite London's Inaugural Cohort and the UK's Emerging Deep Tech Startup Scene

Maddyness, a leading European magazine for startups, entrepreneurship, and innovation featured Intel® Ignite London, spotlighting its mission as a deep tech startup accelerator. In the interview, Managing Director of Intel® Ignite London, Ofer Shayo elaborated on London’s emerging role as a hub for deep technology, and the surprising common theme among our first London cohort: a focus on efficiency.

Intel® Ignite’s recent expansion to London’s Knowledge Quarter was a strategic move to tap into the city’s dynamic ecosystem of academia, entrepreneurship, and deep tech innovations. Shayo highlights why London is emerging as the new Silicon Valley in Europe, especially for deep-tech startups. “If you want to connect with the disruptors, you have to be where the disruptors are,” he shares with Maddyness.

The unexpected yet fascinating theme running through our first Intel® Ignite London cohort is a focus on efficiency. “The general theme connecting the ten deep tech companies we have selected is that they exist to maximize efficiency,” says Ofer. “The big picture is that companies are trying to make compute, networking, and data processing more efficient and sustainable as demand continues to grow.”
